Planning a school trip to NYC

Hey guys. This might sound crazy but would it be possible for me to plan a school trip for my club to the UN building in NYC? I know every high school is different but (money aside) is it generally absolutely impossible and unheard of? Do you think b/c of safety issues and such I shouldn't even get my hopes up?

Thanks a lot

If you could raise the money yourself than it is probably possible

I don’t think you should get your hopes up but definitely give it a shot. It’ll be worth it.

well it depends where you’re from. Yes it’s possible, but like i said depends on your location and school cooperation.

I’m from a state bordering New York.

Thanks for the responses.

I live in NY!!!
I think the exclamation marks speak for themselves.

Btw anyone know any other interesting sites to visit besides the UN building that are related to economics/politics? Like the FED building?

well there are tons of fun sites in NYC, but idk if any i know of relate to politics. You could take a tour of the nbc building. thats really cool.

The Fed. Reserve? The NYSE floor?

The NYSE is not open for visitors anymore :*(

The Bronx Zoo?. jk!..Oh, Ellis Island maybe.

^The zoo is awesome :D

I know!..i haven’t been there in ages. I think all New York middle schools not matter what/where/when/how/why (unnecessary) have been there at least once.

It’s like a requirement.

hahah that’s sooo true. same with the Museum of Natural History.

ah…the good ol days. Can’t leave Central Park out of that picture either. Conveniently located across the street!

ahh I’m going to miss the city so much when I go to college. You can find anything!..that is, if I don’t get into a city school :stuck_out_tongue: crosses fingers for one in particular

I knoooow…::crosses fingers for one a bit far from the actual city:: …may i ask which?

haha i’m actually applying to 4 city schools! NYU, Columbia, Barnard, and Fordham LC. I’m dreaming of Columbia (even though its a reach reach), and also for NYU :). You?

haha…I basically live at Fordham U…always there…(great place, got my fee waived)…didn’t apply though.

And i’m also applying to NYU!..and then there’s… Cornell (crossing fingers)

Ahh good luckk! (were you implying that you go to fordham prep?)
Cornelll…brrrrrrr
