So I know we (incoming freshmen) can’t officially register for courses until orientation when we meet our advisor but I noticed that there’s a class planner on the student link where we can select courses we’d like to take before we officially register. Would anyone recommend that I do this? Just bc I’d like to be prepared and have some idea as to what courses I’d like to take before I go to orientation (I know there’s no guarantee that I’ll get into the classes I want but still). I also already know that I want to do divisional studies instead of core so that’s not an issue.
If it is recommended, I’m still not sure how to go about researching and choosing classes? Like is there any way to see what course requirements there are for freshmen, like a course catalog or something online? I mean one that’s specifically for freshmen with course options meant for the requirements specific to us? The only ones I’ve seen are for requirements for specific majors, most of which I think are meant for upper classmen/don’t list requirements outside your major.
