What majors should I take if I were to go to Cornell? I know pre-law is a bad decision and that most law schools don`t really care what major you take but i would still like some suggestions of what major to take because at the moment i have no idea what to major in. i might want to do corporate law but if there are other interesting types of law, please tell me :)

You say most law schools don't care what your undergrad major is (which is true). But then why are you asking us?? Shouldn't you be asking yourself questions like "what do I want to study?" or "what subjects do I enjoy most?"

but i don
t really know what i
m interested in yet. I
m thinking about Econ but I would love what other ppl think of what
s an interesting major to take at Cornell

coming here for ideas is pretty much useless. no one knows what you are good at. no one knows your strengths or weaknesses. i would say that architecture is a very interesting major, but can everyone do it (or get in for it)? no. go do your homework...go on cornell's website and educate yourself on the different majors here. make a list for yourself of the majors you are interested in. we all had to do it. and that doesnt make you any different

If you're broadly interested in economics and Cornell, and are interested in a major with a great law school placement track record, you might want to look into the School of Industrial and Labor Relations. About 1/4th of the graduating class goes directly to law school, and since it's an interdisciplinary program, you can adapt your electives to suit a wide range of analytical preferences.

ilr sends many grads to law school. check it out. its an awesome school.

ILR=I love reading
