Please help me out and give input on whether I am a good candidate to be considered in the pool of applicants for ED College of Engineering. Thanks!

Female for COE is definitely a big plus, double the admit rate for females as opposed to males. I think you have an above average chance, especially ED.

Overall I think you have a solid chance to be admitted ED.

Try to knock out an 800 on your Math 2 test.

As csdad said, being female certainly is a plus for admission into the COE.

My son was admitted this past year ED and is starting in the COE next month. He had somewhat similar profile to yours, although he was a little higher on the SAT’s and had taken 8 AP’s through his junior year (rigor) and received 5’s on all the math and science tests.

The other critical piece here is your essays. They could definitely be the difference maker. Spend the right amount of time on them and customize them for Cornell. November 1 will be here before you know it.

Best of luck to you.

thank you, csdad and InfoSec!

Bump! Anyone else who may have an opinion or suggestion or advice? Please and thank you!!

Make sure to do really well on your Math II and biology SAT IIs because they help show how good you are at math and science, plus a lot of engineer applicants, if not most, have 800s or close to that on especially math II. So aim for at least 750+. Also yes your essays are really important so make them unique-they help you stand out from everyone else.

Other than that the rest of your application looks pretty solid! I’m an incoming freshman into HumEc.
