I’m thinking about taking two different programs and I think that the best way for me to do this is by attending two different schools. Will this affect how my financial aid is calculated? I plan to take out a loan to play for one school because it doesn’t offer financial aid. This is ok though because the tuition is low and I’m getting a certificate there. The other school may require me to apply for aid and I want to be sure whether or not attending two schools would have an affect on this.
The other question I have is how to manage my time while going to school. I’ve never taken a load like this before and I don’t know how I should go about organizing how I do things. One school has classes I can only take at night while the other has classes I plan to take in the day. So I’m unsure of how I would manage a part-time job, making time to study and for other things while attending school. There is also the need to pursue internships or other kinds of work experience.
There is the option of taking each program one at a time but I’d really like to start learning as soon as possible. Are there some things I can do to prepare for this lifestyle change?
No I haven’t started attending school yet. I could do one at a time but I’d like to attend both if possible because I don’t think one of the programs would allow me to pursue a full-time career. It’s something that I would likely do part-time and not for money. And yet it is very important to me that I do pursue this. So I decided that by doing both programs I would be able to pursue a career after finishing school while also completing the other program.
The school where you are applying for FA will only consider the credits you are taking at that school to determine if you are full time, what your costs are. The other school will be like working a full time job to the FA school - something you do in your ‘free’ time.
If you want to get a certificate, do that and then get the other degree.
First: What two programs?
What will you do with these programs? Is there a job that requires both or would value both?
Is there another school where you could do both at once?
If the second progams was say, art, is there less expensive places to do it? DO you need to be certified or is it just for fun?
