Planning to drop out of a class. What do i need to do?

Im dropping out of my AP Physics class for a much easier class. what do i need to do? do i need to send a letter? email them?

would it be smarter to tell them this after an UC accepted me?

the reason im dropping is so i can get a higher gpa for scholarships. with senioritis, i pretty much will fail AP physics. i don’t want to take that chance.

You could wait until after the decisions are out to contact them about the issue. That way you only have to contact the school you decide to go to. Otherwise you're going to have to contact every school individually. I'd just wait until you make up your mind about where to go.

Last year, I was in the exact same situation you are in now. All I did was email them. About two days later I got a response saying something like, "Thank you for the email. Please wait up to 2 weeks for your profile to be updated."
And...well...it was as easy as that haha

is it bad that im dropping an AP class for a IWE(non A-G course)? I really want to get out of this class but im scared that this might affect my admissions.

...then don't change your schedule until you email them about it first; they'll tell you whether it'll be okay or not.

just contact them after admission decisions are made.
