I recently got my GED, and I’m not sure if I should take the ACT or not. I want to study in a spanish-speaking country, but I’m not sure if they accept GED’s at all. I’m especially interested in universities in Mexico, where I can learn spanish and see my family in texas. Oh and I barely know Spanish at all. Will this be a big problem? Any recommendations for universities in mexico that accept GED??
Hey,
While I cannot tell you specifically about universities in Mexico, I can tell you that in Spain and Italy to participate in programs (such as language programs for foreigners) you need to have proof of the right to attend university. Since a GED is in effect a diploma, it gives you that right.
Some programs don’t even require high school diplomas or GEDs because they are set up to accept students who have not yet graduated from high school.
Look into the programs you might be interested in Mexico and look at whatever information they provide (or ask for) on their registration forms.
You’ll get your answers there.
