What are your plans for the summer?
I am going to go to prom and graduate and hopefully go to connecticut and chill there with some of my friends

I'm going to the states, to washington with a couple of friends. Then I'm heading over to a friend's house in filadelphia, where I'll visit Penn, take tour or two etc. Towards the end of my vacations I'll go skiing with my mom and brothers in Argentina. YAY these vacations are so gonna rock!!!!! Besides when I come back I'll officially be a senior!!!! hooray

Summer = 8 Weeks of Harvard Secondary School Program, the other 2 weeks I have before and after vacation are spent running, playing tennis, hanging out with friends, and SAT study. I have a full packed summer I have no idea how I'm gonna manage all this.

Paid summer internship related to my intended major. Hopefully I'll get accepted... Also, 3 hours of SAT prep.

well guys my days of being a slave in summer is done because im going to college this fall......i dont have to do these things to impress college

I don't feel like I'm "being a slave", though--all the things I listed are things I genuinely want to do, and I'd be sad to give up any of them. I'm just not sure how I'll have time for all of it.

i never said your a slave to summer.....i was talking about me

Yeah, I know you meant in general, I just wanted to clarify in case it sounds like I'm just trying to pad my resume... really, I'm passionate about all of the things I mentioned, even though I'll probably have to eliminate some.

I think there was a thread on a similar topic several weeks ago...anyway I'm going to China with 14 classmates from June 7th til July 7th, then spend 3 weeks at the Interlochen Arts camp until early August (I'm still waiting for their decision letter though) If I get rejected (I hope not!), I'll spend the 3 weeks at Brown Summer high school (haha I'm still waiting for their decision too). But I'm sure I'll get in one or the other, hopefully both. I'll do some local community service in August until I go back to school on Sept 8th.

I WAS going to go backpacking aroudn Europe for 5 weeks but noooo I had to get in trouble. So I'll be a camp counselor or doing swim lessons like crazy and staying home.

Then nine weeks of research for local program unless RSI accepts me (which means six weeks of social/research experience and I'll probably do Boys State too if I get a private scholarship because I can't afford the reduced tuition). And of course have fun, volunteer, hang out with friends, night games, etc.
