Anyone have experience with plant science or botany? I've like bio and plants, so it seems some what interesting. Any thoughts?

Occasionally the federal govt (USDA; FDA; EPA; USGS) has openings and some companies like Monsanto, Pioneer Hi-Bred, or Dow Agrosciences has openings for botanists/plant geneticists but not many compared with the number of graduates in the field and you will most likely need a Ph. D. to get a decent job.

It is a real longshot like most of the Biology or Chemistry majors have with getting a decent job with the major.

Do you think there would b any sort of jobs that only require undergrad or masters? Im do really care about the money, I just enjoy nature, the outdoors, plants etc

Fourtwenty, huh? When you say you like plants, are you talking about plants with high levels of THC? :)

Seriously, yes, there are jobs for someone with a BS or MS in this field. A lot of them involve nurseries and/or landscaping, and this can be a decent career.

Generally the types of jobs you can get with a BS or MS will not allow you to live and pay back student loans or have a family. You would be better off skipping college then pursuing a career in science these days.
