Plausibility of doing a dual major at Stern? Economics and CompSci?

Is it at all possible to do a dual major in economics and comp sci at nyu stern?I am willing to take summer courses if necessary, but would that not be possible because it is necessary to do internships in the summer?

My plan is to do the dual major, get a few years of job experience and get an MBA, hopefully at a prestigious place.

I believe Econ+ Comp sci is a joined major at CAS. I'm not sure about Stern. I think you can do Stern Econ (you take the same classes as CAS kids but less classes cause you gotta take all these Stern core) and major/minor in Comp Sci separately. However, I do know if you're at Stern, you can't major in Econ at CAS.

Please note, Stern students are not eligible to major in Economics or Computer Applications through CAS. <- from http://w4.stern.nyu.edu/uc/currentstudents/academics.cfm?doc_id=4935

Not sure if 'computer applications' = computer science, but I would assume so.

Um, I think Stern and CAS share the econ department, but I might be wrong.

No, no, xflash is saying that if you are in Stern, you can't major in finance and then say you're going to major in econ in CAS - you HAVE to follow the Stern econ requirements.

But you're correct, the econ dept is shared jointly by Stern and CAS.

computer applications does not = computer science. there's actually two different majors. stern kids cannot major in computer applications, because there is a stern major equivalent, which is information systems.
