What are your favorites? Let's discuss!

I'm a huge fan of Greek plays, especially Aeschylus and, on the comedy side, Aristophanes (especially The Frogs and Lysistrata). Shakespeare is nice; so is Moliere, although I've only read one play be the latter. I adored the Ubu plays by Alfred Jarry, even though they're not very well known. Waiting for Godot is nice, but not one of my favorites. Murder in the Cathedral is absolutely beautiful. Right now I'm reading Miss Julie by Strindberg.

Yeah, that's more a list of plays I like than anything else, but hopefully it'll be a good starting point for discussion.

Cyrano de Bergerac, which is hilarious.
Waiting for Godot would be hilarious with good actors.
Shakespeare’s comedies, if you understand Ye Olde English.

^ how did you know my list! :O

besides waiting for Godot, I haven’t seen it

Ooh, I have Cyrano de Bergerac. Maybe I should read it…

Oh, I forgot Edward Albee. The American Dream is absolutely hilarious, even if a little disturbing…

I have J.B., some Tennessee Williams play, and a couple Shakespeare comedies (All’s Well that Ends Well, Much Ado About Nothing) laying around. Which do you guys think I should read first?

Lol, that’s all the plays I liked in HS.
8 seconds :O

I’d really like to see a Ben Jonson play. I think it would be quite lol filled

^^All’s Well That Ends Well is based on a story in The Decameron!!!
