I have a 6 pm timeslot on the second day.
The housing lottery for sophomores is 5-11pm for 2 days.

I am unable to find someone with a better timeslot to block with me.
Using my timeslot, I know I cannot get a room on west campus, but, is there a chance for me to get a room in one of the collegetown residential halls (Cascadilla or Sheldon Court) ?
Also, I do not want to live in the program houses, they are very far away from the engineering quad, where i have most of my classes!!
Do u think i could get a room in the collegetown halls?
Please tell me what you guys think.
I am soooooo stressed.

You still have time…the lottery hasn’t closed yet. I had 5 PM on the second day last year, and it turned out that a friend of a friend had the first timeslot (which I found out about two weeks before room selection). I know it’s tough and stressful, but keep searching. If it doesn’t work out, I know of a bunch of engineers who live in Schulyer…they eat on west or cook for themselves, and isn’t horrible (but they get a bus pass)…and in Risley and other program houses. Keep looking, but remember that there are other housing options, including program houses and off-campus.

Thanks for your advice.
Do you think I can atleast get Risley with my timeslot?
Its close to central campus, and isn’t that bad I guess.
So, is it possible to get a single room in Risley with a second day 6 pm timeslot?

I am still asking a lot of people. But, unfortunately, I am not a very social person! So, I don’t have many people to ask, but, I am trying…

I believe, based on my son’s input, that you already missed the deadline to apply to live in Risley as a rising sophomore. They are already reading those applications. It isn’t just based on a time slot. He has lived in Risley for two years and is on the committee of current residents that read those applications. Of course, sometimes students are placed in program houses without having applied to live there. That depends on availability of housing spaces. Not all applicants to program houses are accepted.
