I’m sort of new to this but I was intrigued by your post because you’re in a similar situation to mine. I can see myself at like 15 colleges, all very different from each other, and I can’t really decide which one I like the most.
However, I think that it can’t hurt to apply to tons of reaches, as you really don’t know where you’ll get accepted. It’s sort of a crapshoot at the most highly.selective colleges (for example I know a guy who’s top choice was Columbia, but he also applied to Harvard though he had less chance of getting in. He was rejected from Columbia and accepted to Harvard).
Otherwise, have you considered any small liberal arts colleges? Swarthmore especially is really well respected among graduate schools for its engineering program, maybe you should look into that.
