If I want to transfer to MIT, Stanford, or Berkeley and I'm straight from Korea (high school graduate), which CC should I go before that?

going from CC to standford/MIT is extremly difficult...i would go to a reputable one and take 17-19 hours and pull a 4.0 and fullfill the requirements for both for first year/two years depending on when you want to transfer

The strength of a CC just wouldn't transfer well into a school like you want. You have a better optino of trying to get into a school like PSU, Northwestern, Notre Dame, etc... if you can get into those as an international student and do extremely well there, then you'd be able to possibly transfer.

I don't know much about California CCs, but I'm sure a bunch of other posters can help you out with that (since a California community college would give you the best chance at transferring to Berkeley from a CC). I do know that transfer admission to both MIT and Stanford is very, very competitive (less than 5% of students who apply are admitted), so if you think you have the stats to get into MIT or Stanford, I think it might improve your application if you transfer from the best four-year school you can get accepted to right now. I'm not sure what acceptance rates are for international students, but depending how strong you are, you might have a better chance of getting into Stanford or MIT as a freshman than you would transferring from a CC.
