please answer my question

hello. I was looking at the aubject test requirements at university of pennsylvania and saw that we need to have scores of two subject tests along with sat reported. I am good at math and if admitted i want to be part of wharton. So i will be taking math level 2 test but the problem is about the second test.

  1. is it fine if i just take one test?
  2. can i take math 1 and math 2 as my subject tests
  3. or is it mandatory for me to take two different ones.
    please let me know if you have any doubt.
    P.s i have not studied physics or chemistry or biology for 2 years. I am from india and we have the option to choose from science or commerce.
  1. No, two are required.
  2. Generally frowned upon. Math 1 is for people who have not taken precalc. Math 2 is for people who have taken precalc. You cannot be both kinds of people.
  3. Wharton recommends Math 2 and another of your choice. What else are you good at?

I am pretty good at chemistry but i have to catch up on a lot of stuff.

another college i was looking at was nyu stern. They have an option between sat and three subject tests for admission. my question is that does adding math 2 to sat increase my chances of getting accepted

@aryan2013

  1. Two are required but you could also take the ACT, if possible.
  2. As bodangles said, avoid taking Math I and Math II to fulfill subject test requirements.

Maybe, if you do well on it. You would also have to take a literature or humanities subject test, as well as a third one for NYU Stern.
