please answer my question

hello. I was looking at the aubject test requirements at university of pennsylvania and saw that we need to have scores of two subject tests along with sat reported. I am good at math and if admitted i want to be part of wharton. So i will be taking math level 2 test but the problem is about the second test.

  1. is it fine if i just take one test?
  2. can i take math 1 and math 2 as my subject tests
  3. or is it mandatory for me to take two different ones.
please let me know if you have any doubt.
P.s i have not studied physics or chemistry or biology for 2 years. I am from india and we have the option to choose from science or commerce.

If the university requires you to have two subject test scores — you need to provide two different subject test scores. You can certainly do both Math I and Math II but most colleges only include ONE math test in their subject test requirement, which means even if you do both, you will be required to do another, different subject.

On the bright side, SAT subject tests are pretty easy to score on. They cover a fixed range of material, so just purchase a test preparation book like Barrons or Kaplan, study the topics and do plenty of practice tests. Even if you haven’t studied science in very long, you should be able to do exceptionally well if you prepare for it.

Hope this helped!

  1. No. Usually, if there's any school that you're taking a subject test for, then it must be 2 (no school asks for just one). Just one defeats the purpose.
  2. No. Only one Math test can be taken. If you take two, colleges see it as you only having taken one.
  3. Take Math II and another test.
  1. No
  2. No
  3. Math & science if you're applying for engineering related majors, for other majors I don't think it matters (it's the next to math+another one tho)

“And if admitted I want to be part of Wharton”
I hope you know that you specify the college you are applying to prior to gaining acceptance. Wharton applicants thus face harsher odds
