I got accepted to UIUC DGS and am going there next year from a CC after one year, and this semester has not been good. I might have to drop calc physics and already dropped AutoCad. Thing is i work a lot and i have no time to study. Am getting an A in calc 2 and english 2 though. Anyways, bad computer can't run cad so i could never do anything. Physics is hard as and i try to study even with work and its still really hard.

I will try to get my grade up so I don't have to drop it but lets assume I do and autocad is already dropped

Question I have is will dropping these 2 classes, will UIUC deny me from DGS when I send in my final transcripts and they see 2 W's? I had 3.38 gpa before after one semester at CC? I mean ill re take physics over the summer but not autocad I dont need that. Please seriours? Should I mention any other reasons for dropping classes or are these enough to convince them?

You need to contact admissions. You have an issue. Your admission was based on grades you already had and the understanding that you were taking and would complete the courses you were enrolled in this semester. If the final transcript submitted in May shows you have less hours than the total number of hours they assumed you would have when admitted, you face a risk of rescission. There is no set rule that says you will automatically be rescinded if you drop two courses or grades drop and rescission is not something that happens often. Also, the fact that it is DGS indicates you likely did not drop any required courses for transfer which could be deadly. But you have a risk and you will only increase that risk if you let all of this just be a surprise to UIUC when you submit your final transcript.

Why don’t you make an appointment with the counselor at your CC? As long as you have the numbers of hours needed to transfer, you should be alright. Try to get a tutor or someone to help you with the physics class, some high school kids are pretty good at physics and might help you, or go to your tutoring center. You should be OK, but make sure you have the appropriate amount of hours.
