I am going to be a senior next year
My overall GPA is a 3.0 hopefully 3.2 by senior year.
I usually get a 1200 on the SAT ~ that should improve soon
I have over 100 hours of community service . I am planning to major in computer science. i am female. I am known as a photographer and graphic designer in school. i do a lot of media things.And have a lot of hobbies I have taken a java script course.
I want to get into virginia tech or IIT (Illinois institute of tech ) are there any chances?
Can i get into low UC like riverside or santa cruz or merced? what are my chances?
Could i get into cal poly?
what csu are good for me and i would be accepted in?</p>
<p>1200? Are you sure it isn’t on the 1600 scale? UCs asked for a writing test so they care about the writing score.</p>
<p>If you’re out-of-state for an UC, forget the UCs unless you can somehow use AP classes to bring it up to a 3.4 weighted.</p>
<p>Assuming that you got like about an 1800 on your SAT (include writing) I’d look at
UCSC, UCR, UCM but try to get the GPA up a little bit.</p>
<p>UCSB, UCD, and UCI would be reaches based on GPA
UCLA, UCSD, and UCB do not really accept many students with stats like yours.
Cal Poly is in the same class as UCSB and UCD and would be a reach.</p>
<p>Applying for EOP also helps.

<p>Eop is basically a program that helps student with low income families and have a disadvantage with education… its a good program. Offers free tutoring gives a grant (up to 2000) depending on your family income, offers a summer bridge progam that gives you free classes textsbooks and dorming. Only for summer though</p>
