please answer

Recently in May i took the sat reasoning i got so bad i'm deffinately talking it again, i also last saturday took act don't know score but probably not the best meaning i will be talking it again.
Anyway, in june i took sat 2 subject tests in 3 subjects im pretty sure i did really good in math2c but did poorly in world and american history.

I am talking sat again in october but i need 3 sat 2 for ivy and where im applying the deadline is november 30th. meaning i can't takie both sat and sat 2 so what should i do

Please don't include Act in this answer because even though i will take it in october again (september not offered here that sucks!Stuped registration people anyway,) because i wont know my score till later and i need to register for sat or sat 2 way in advanced so mentioning doing good on act i won't know then.

Also just a head's up (for those wanting to say sat 2) don't offer world history till december which is to late and i would only have math that i know i did good and then if i choose sat 2's i can prepare well for US history.

Thanks for your reply's

Also i live in pa applying to california berkley

P.s. this is kind of a similar post to sat subject test but i did not know where to post so i did it on both message boards.

P.P.S Ignore all spelling grammer mistakes as i'm typing very fast as i have only 7 minutes in the library remaining

that was my problem too....i needed to take my SAt II's but i needed to retake my SAt because i did bad. So i took the SAT in June and I'm taking the subject tests in october

idk about the whole process but u might be able to send in ur scores later.

as far as ive heard u need 2 sat II's n not 3 so that oughta lighten up the load on y...

You need 3 for Harvard and Yale.

I have a similar problem because I plan to take SAT I and ACT in October and three SAT II tests in November.

I want to apply SCEA for Stanford, but the guy at the admissions office said that he can't guarantee November test scores to arrive in time for SCEA application review. I'm still trying to decide on this.

Yale's website says that November test scores are fine.

I don't know about Harvard.

ManUtd200le i dont wanna sound like im arguing or anything but i belive its 2. it used to be 3 but now that writing is incorporated in the new SAT i believe that only 2 subjects are required..

Ooh. 10 char

skywalker99 is completely wrong!

http://www.admissions.college.harvard.edu/utilities/faq/admissions/tests/index.html

Which standardized tests does Harvard require?
For the Class of 2011, students may submit either the "old" SAT I or ACT taken before March 2005, or the new SAT or ACT (which must include the writing section). Students must also submit three SAT II exams of their choosing. The Admissions Committee will continue to consider all test results in light of students' educational opportunities.

Ooh. 10 char

man utd, what are you OOHing about???

I put "Ooh" to express my realization.

First one was to show that I was wrong.

Second one was to show that I was surprisingly right.

collegeapplicati-- Just from reading your post, I would suggest studying up a little bit on grammar, and making sure to proofread your essays. Maybe it's just because you were writing quickly online, but you don't seem to use punctuation to write clear sentences, and you have a couple of grammatical errors (if you get a good score, then you've "done well" not "done good." If "reply" is plural, it should be "replies" etc). Not trying to criticize you, and I know that you said to ignore your mistakes, but just want to point out that things like that will drag your writing score down a lot! On the SAT, you won't have much time to write, either, so you might also want to practice quick proofreading skills.

okay guys.. admit i was wrong there... any idea bout MIT? how many subjects do they require?

For MIT:

Testing Requirements

SAT Reasoning Test with the writing component or the ACT with the writing test. In addition, we require two SAT Subject Tests: one in math (level 1 or 2), and one in science (physics, chemistry, or biology e/m).

For non-native English speakers: You have two options: 1) take the tests required for native English speakers (see above), or 2) you may take the TOEFL and two SAT Subject Tests, one in math (level 1 or 2) and one in science (physics, chemistry, or biology e/m).

good! i guess i got mixed up about harvard's requirements with mit's..
even princeton n columbia i think require 3 subjects..

Princeton is three.

Columbia is two.

Princeton is harsh; they want four years of foreign language.

thanks ManUtd.. must admit im really suprised...

if u never took the courses they recommend, ie. four years of foreign language, are you at a great disadvantage?? say, u speak a language other than english at home fluently, do they accept that??

Good question ^.

I'm in the same position. I speak two languages in addition to English.

I don't plan to apply to Princeton anyway.

However, it's an interesting question.

^ thanks..i'm not planning to apply to princeton either, but i'm preti sure this would apply to virtually all of the ivies...
so does anyone have any answers?? much appreciated!!
