for the 2017 aid year i am qualifed for 3 grants listed in my financial package. for the first two are cal grantB and pell grant and both sent me checks so it is fine, but for the SUG which is paying for tuition, i was granted for $2.8k and enough to cover my tuition for this semester. however, the cashier office told me i will get a refund back to my card, up to now i only received $1665 refund. therefore, i try to email them to see what happen, but they said all fund was disbursed and told me SUG is not refundable which made me so confused. here is
since there were 3 checks on the beginning and have no title on it but i add it up and it is just the number for CAL GRANT& PELL GRANT. i assume it was not prorated due to enrollment units changed because i did changed from part to full time, but they told me my cal grant&pell grant is $949 each…here is what they reply
"The $2,871 SUG is not refundable and it pays your tuition. Two checks for $949 were sent to you and that is your Cal B Grant and your Pell Grant. Because you paid out of pocket, you received a refund for $1,665 on your credit card.
Your account is correct."
anyway, please if any one of you famliar with SUG, give me some advices, i will try to call them too just as non native speaker i have hard time to understand. thank you !
