Please be honest for my chances!!!

i have a 3.33 gpa
i just took the sat
combined 1970
math-760
writing-650
reading-560

I am the captain of my varsity soccer team
I am involved in many clubs and running for president of student gov.
I have over 200 hours of community service
I am very involved in the local red cross chapter

I am interested in computer science at schools like...
Cornell
Carnegie Mellon
WPI (worcester polytechnic institute)
RIT (rochester institute of technology)
RPI (rensselaer polytechnic institute)

I am also in two AP classes this year:Stat and Lit, and next year I am taking AP Calc and Chem

your test scores are pretty good and your ecs sound pretty strong too. The only thing that you need to worry about is your gpa. have you had an upward trend throughout high school cause i know that colleges love to see that. I think that all the top schools you posted would be reaches for you still though.

chance me back

No shot at Cornell or Carnegie Mellon.
The other 3 are reaches.

Your best bets are RIT and RPI. You’ve got a decent chance there.

Cornell- hiiighhhhh reach
Carnegie Mellon- also a hiiggghh reach
RIT- lower Reach
WPI- higher Reach
RPI- lower Reach

Have you also considered Georgia Institute of Technology? University of Pittsburgh? Syracuse U? Look into them. They’re reaches, but not as high as, say, Carnegie.

chance me?

Unfortunately, Cornell is not a high reach for you. If you improve your SAT scores, you’ll definitely improve your chances of getting into Cornell. Retake the test, and if you get over 2100 you’ll have a better chance.

G’luck.
