Hi, I'm a high school student residing in India. I'm an American citizen and was living in Los Angeles the first 10 years of my life.

GPA
School does not rank and no GPA system. We have a public examination that all in the 10th grade around the nation have to take. In that I got:
Math - 99
Social Science - 99
Science - 93
English - 96
Sanskrit (II Language) - 86
My rank in that public examination was 9th in a class of 150, my school however doesn't rank as such.
However, in my 11th grade, a situation had arisen in my school and we didn't have a chem and math teacher for almost a month. My 11th annual scores have gone down, but I haven't specified this in my application. I've come back in the 12th, and my scores are good enough for sending, when I send he midyear report in January.

SAT
Sat 1- Total score in one sitting - 2050 (M-730, CR-630, W-690)
Superscore - 2120 (M-800, CR-630, W-690)

SAT 2 - Math2 - 780
Physics - 730
Chemistry - 710

NO OTHER TESTS TAKEN (like the ACT)

I have a pretty good set of recommendations and pretty good (I wouldn't say stellar) essays as well.

E.C.'s:
I am a professional keyboard player and I play South Indian Classical Music. I have given over 100 professional concerts, various channels in India hae interviewed, I received the Child Prodigy Award by the State Government along with a few scholarships as well for music. I have done 1 recording and a performance with A.R. Rahman (How cool is that!)

I play basketball for my school, been playing ever since i joined 6 years ago, and we were the quaterfinalists of the regional tournament held in my city.

I am the Elected External Cultural Secretary of my school, winning by a pretty good majority. I have led my school to win 6 cultural fests in my city; which is an unprecedented feat in my school s none of the previous batches have even won one. We also organized our own fest, which was for three days and had a budget of a US equivalent of $25,000 dollars.

I am also the Secretary of the Interact Club of my school in affiliation with the Rotary Club. I have participated in many volunteering and community service events.

I am a prat of the Debating Club of my school. I have taken part in various debates for my school.

Achievments:
I have been awarded the all-rounder award for 4 consecutive years now in my school, which is given to students who excel in academic and co-curricular fields.

I attended the GYLC in Washington D.C. and NYC in 2009.

I underwent a student exchange program with a school in the UK, which lasted for around 3 weeks.

A group from my school attended a national festival in our country's capital. I won individual prizes in Quiz and Debating and helped my school win overall second at the national level.

Passion:

I am totally into environmental engineering. I have listed the same as my major. Most of essays revolve around that. I have always felt the need for man to change the society he usually controls, rather than vehemently opppposing a change for the betterment. I plan on taking this field both as a enjoyment and as a moral responsibility, and I have written about this in my essays. I submitted a paper to the CNN on Climate Change and it's impact on the surroundings, as well as making a simple biogas digester for a competition organized by Volvo, for which I didn't get selected though.

I take volunteering and community service very seriously, and have taken efforts to do what I can. I have taken part in various sapling planting sessions, fed the poor, trash cleanups, and as the Ext. Cultural Secretary of my School, brought about an initiative where students from my school go to a neighbouring school which was lot poorer, and helped those chilren out with core subjects as well as life-skills. It is a great success with both the staff and student body.

What do you think are my chances of getting into the solleges I've applied? They include Stanford (first choice), MIT, Harvard, Yale, Columbia, Cornell, UCBerkeley, UCLA, USC, UMich, U of Illinois, and a few others. Please be honest.

Thank you all for your time and patience.
