i am applying to ed cals in cornell university

Do I have the chance..? i am so nervous about that and so do my parents
thank you very much.

dude... we have similar situations. (or typical) lol
will you apply for scholarship? that will make a huuuuge difference if you do.
i probably will apply for Cornell too since my high school have an acceptance rate of over 25% at Cornell.

wojiaokaiwen: see I really don't want to be the one giving bad news nor do I want to discourage you but your chances at Cornell CALS are pretty slim. Firstly, are you are from one of the most over represented ethnicity in US colleges generally. Secondly, a lot will depend on whether you are asking for aid or not. Cornell is very stingy and if you apply for Financial Aid then it is highly probable you will be rejected. You desperately need to improve your SAT score to 2200, but believe me its easier said than done!

Your EC's arent great either and I am assuming it is too late to strengthen that part of your application. One thing I can tell you is that if you are planning to apply to CALS - Applied Economics and Management, then DON'T! It is one of the toughest course to get into at Cornell by far and has very few spots. If you are applying for aid consider the need blinds HYPM, Amherst, Williams, Middlebury, Dartmouth.

Best of Luck!

thanks for your reviewing
i am not applying to financial aid.
will the chance be higher?

how do you think the other colleges in cornell?

hey do you know the difference between business and economic?

Yes not applying for FA will significantly boost your application. And in this case, try not to apply to need blinds (the ones mentioned), if you possibly can. However, your other weaknesses still stand. CALS is not all hard, but Applied Economics and Management is (to get into)! Cornell is an ivy; all its colleges are generally very good.

haha thank you for your explanation. i will try hard on my sat!!

By The Way, Does The Ecs In My Country Make Sense Here? Will The College Grant It ?

dude, economics and business are totally (maybe 80%?) different things...
I guess you need to have more ecs...
