Please chance a nervous junior!!!!

Hi I am a female from NY. I am only a Junior but please help!!!!
I am really interested in Carnegie Mellon! (considering H&SS but I am not really sure)

GPA: 4.0(unwieghted) 4.4(weighted: I think this is right i used a gpa converter. It's 103)
Freshman Year: English 9H, Bio H, Global, Geometry, Spanish
Sophomore Year: Chem H, English 10H, Global 10H, Alg2/Trig, Spanish, AP Environmental: 3
Currently taking(Junior Year): AP Bio, AP US History, AP Lang/Comp, Spanish 4H, Advanced Math topics
Next year I plan to take: AP Spanish, AP Lit, AP Gov, AP Euro, AP Physics, PreClac H

SAT: 1200 (I know that this is really bad but I am hoping to raise it to a 1350 or possibly a 1400? I am also taking the ACT soon) How heavily weighted is the SAT in terms of admission?

Extracirriculars: Ping Pong Club (9), Spanish Club (9,10,11), Forensics Club(9,10(treasurer)), Forensics Competition Team(10,11(treasurer)), Tri-Fit Club(10,11), JV Soccer (9,10) Varsity Winter Track(9,10,11), Varsity Spring Track (9,10,11), Varsity Cross Country (11), I have a summer job a camp. Does that count for anything?

Volunteering: I currently have about 70+ hours of volunteering. I am also applying to volunteer at a horse stable that serves disabled riders

PLEASE HELP :)

Also I forget to mention that I am in Marching Band(10,11) I play the trombone

What’s your ethnicity?

I’m going to assume that your SAT is out of 1600. To answer your question, the SAT, along with GPA and extracurricular activities, is one of the main factors in admission to a top tier college. A 1400/1600 SAT would be pretty solid for H&SS. Also, another thing: sometimes colleges think that there is grade inflation present at a school when the SAT does not seem to correlate that well with the GPA. For example, you have a perfect GPA, 4.0 Unweighted (with a rigorous courseload), but your SAT scores aren’t quite saying the same thing.

Also, do you have any leadership positions?

Don’t worry about converting Unweighted into Weighted GPA, most top tiers only look at only unweighted.

White.

As for the SAT I am aftraid that I just am not great when it comes to standardized tests.
I go to a nationally ranked public school if that helps reduce the grade inflation notion. Also what is the average SAT for H&SS(out of 1600)? Is the ACT better suited for those that struggle with the SAT?

Also aside from being treasurer for forensics I attented leadership classes for the camp I work at. For the past 2 sumers I went to leadership classes 2x a week for 8 weeks. Each class was about 40minutes. Next year I am planing on running for school President as well as President for National Honor Society(I forgot to mention I was a member of this). You can only run for these positions as a senior.
