Please Chance a Super Indecisive Individual

Hi,

I am in the ultimate pickle about ED to Dartmouth. The deadline is in 3 days, so any immediate feedback would be super helpful.

Here is the dilemma: I loved Dartmouth, but I also loved Princeton. Therefore, I don't know if I should do ED to Dartmouth because doing so could possibly prevent me from applying to Princeton. The prob is, chances of acceptance to Dartmouth via ED is significantly greater than RD. Therefore...

Please review my resume, and chance me for Dartmouth (both ED and RD) as well as Princeton. And for kicks and giggles, chance me for Williams, Bowdoin, Middlebury, Colby, Hamilton, Brown, and UMass Amherst (those are in no particular order)

I am a white boy from Massachusetts...immediate negative. My family is very financially secure, and I probably won’t be applying for financial aid (which I have read is a benefit now in our bleak economic times).

Chance me both for ED and RD.

Although I haven't read the teacher recs themselves, I'm sure they are fantastic. My history teacher really liked me and my math teacher enjoyed how I taught the class how to graph sine waves using Excel (I hope/think she referenced this)

My essay is about how I used to hate visiting my grandfather because he has no modern technology. It was only after his death that I realized I had been blinded by 21st century material possesions. My AP lit teacher said it was an excellent essay and she said she praised it more than she typically praises an essay....I can message it to you if you care to read it.

That's it! Pleas

DONT ED ANYWHERE, its a bunch of crap

princeton is a match whereas everything else you can start picking out the dorm you prefer, great stats and being a pro writer is quite useful in getting into those high level schools

chance me back at http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/801012-chance-me-i-will-chance-back.html</a></p>

I think if you apply to both of them, you have a good shot of getting into one.

bumpppppppppppppppppp

Wow. I think you’re a fantastic candidate ED or RD

if i were you… i’d wait for regular. you have a good chance everywhere even if it’s princeton. if you like princeton better than dartmouth, wait for regular. the higher ED rate’s mostly because those applying early tend to be more competitive…
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/801024-chance-please-international-ill-chance-back.html</a></p>

I think you have as good of a shot as anyone at Princeton and I think you’d be a lock at Dartmouth RD, definitely ED. If you are torn between the two, however, don’t apply ED.

The rest you are probably in, although Brown and Williams can be total crap-shoots as well. Good Luck

Dartmouth (both ED and RD) - Good shot here and really good chance with ED although nothing is guaranteed when it comes to ivies.
Princeton - A reach just like for everyone else
Williams - Reach (better shot than with Princeton)
Bowdoin - High Match
Middlebury - High Match
Colby - High Match
Hamilton - No Idea
Brown - Same situation as Dartmouth w/o ED
UMass Amherst - In, Safety I presume?

bumpppppppppppppppppppp

bumpppppppppppppppppppppppp

wow
i personally think your credentials are outstanding
i would honestly recommend you NOT to do dartmouth ed if you want to go to princeton really badly… just don’t
and regarding your chances… i can state with a lot of confidence that you will get into at least one of princeton, brown, dartmouth, and williams

Dartmouth ED: Reach (Better odds than most)
Dartmouth RD: See above…If you are borderline, I wouldn’t apply ED. If you can’t make that commitment, then don’t. You are still competitive for RD
Princeton - High Reach (It is for everyone)
Williams - Reach
Bowdoin - High Match
Middlebury - High Match
Colby - Match
Hamilton - Match
Brown - Reach (Lower than Dartmouth)
UMass Amherst - Safety

Good luck! Thanks for the chance! You have great chances at all of your school; all you can do is apply, and hope for the best! :D

We seem to be similar in college picks, evilspartan92! You look set for them all, but Princeton is a tough call. Early decision to Dartmouth may help you, but it is up to you. Good luck! :)
