Please chance an OOS junior!

<p>Junior-year, plan to apply next winter-->Fingers crossed, hopefully by then my GPA will bump up and i'll have more under my belt:</p>

<p>State Finalist for Governors School (probably going) for Life Sci. and Med.</p>

<p>Research Opportunities in Nanobiotechnology Field; fabrication of devices for tissue engineering-->Definitely interested in this field, from work in research labs and shown heavily in ECs and whatnot</p>

<p>I've applied to a numerous amount of summer programs (pre-college/internships/etc.) so hopefully one of those works out</p>

<p>Nothing too spectacular…but there is stuff I haven’t mentioned…Oh well, I’ll hope for the best!</p>

<p>So sad that this website has trained people to think their 1460's are "terrible."</p>

<p>Jusayswhat: it's not a terrible score, however I think that it needs to be higher (>1500) to be competitive. I am in no way influenced by this website. I just wanted to listen to some incite/advise from those more knowledgeable than I.</p>

<p>Just FYI, being an OOS student has no bearing on admission or aid for a private university like Duke (as long as you're not from some underrepresented geographic region, which would be an advantage even)</p>

<p>Sorry for mistaking you saying "terrible, I know," as indication of having a terrible score........</p>

<p>Terrible in relation to the scores necessary to the mean scores at Duke. Not terrible in the fact that they are above average; which isn't saying much.</p>
