I switched high schools senior year family move to VA.</p>

<p>Class rank: top 5%
GPA: W: 4.3, UW: 3.99
All honors and AP classes (AP Stats, AP Calc AB, AP Chem., AP Lit., AP Lang., AP Government, AP Euro., AP US, AP World)
SAT: 720 Math, 640 English, 660 Writing</p>

<p>Honor Societies: National HS, National Latin HS, English HS
Secretary of National Latin HS</p>

<p>EC's:
STAND, Eco Club, Model United Nations, Interact Club, Young Democrats, Unity Club,
Literary Arts Magazine (Staff), International Club, Political Action Club,Global Awareness – grade, Habitat for Humanity,Watchdog newspaper, Statesman newspapers, Improv group
Varsity swimmer (letterman, regional qualifier), Club swimming</p>

<p>Work:
assistant swim coach, lifeguard, swim instructor, hostess at Sharkey's Cool Cuts</p>

<p>volunteer:
150+ hours</p>

<p>I know Harvard is a reach I’m really not planning on attending. </p>

<p>Can you tell me what you think about UVA however?</p>

<p>My UVA neighbors tell me it greatly depends on which part of Virginia you live in. Small rural town, easy. Northern VA, very difficult. I’m not expert however, and your GC at the new high school would have the best knowledge.</p>

<p>I think you should consider Duke. I know someone who went there, and although they had a high GPA, he had little to none EC’s, so I definitely think you have a shot.
BC-I think you could get in there, same with BU.</p>
