Please Chance Confused Girl?

Hi, I'm just really nervous because I'm not sure whether I'm applying to too many schools that are out of my reach, etc.

I also want to know whether it would be more beneficial for me to apply undecided to some of the reach colleges, because I want to double major in business and history, and I know a lot of the colleges I chose have strong (aka competitive) business programs.

Please help me? I really am confused...and nervous... thnx:)

By the way: what schools do you guys think would be a good fit for me?

Please, I need all the advice I can get!

Oh by the way, I will be the first to graduate from college from my family. My dad went to MIT but dropped out due to an explosion of issues (serious illness- almost died, parent death, family business failed...pretty much got the short end of the stick)

Sorry: Also, won coaches award in golf (2007) and am a national semi finalist. I should be an AP Scholar thing with my stats (i think?) but I assume I'm supposed to get something in the mail soon?

MIT - Reach

the ucs would be no problem for u i think

Georgetown: Match

MIT: Reach

NYU: Match

William and Mary: Match

Rice: High match/low reach

Cornell: Reach

Boston University: In

I think you should at least apply to Harvard and others like. You're in the range, don't sell yourself short! Not that most of those aren't top top. Go Bears!

dvrjosh- thanks for the encouragement...but I'm pretty sure I have no chance at Harvard..plus the intimidation factor is huge :)

Do you really think Georgetown would be match? From what I've seen they're right up there with Princeton, etc. in terms of difficulty in getting in.

You're in at NYU. At least guarantee for CAS at least and most likely the GSP program.

What are those?

Most likely GSP???

No, I think Clover is smart enough for CAS regular.

Clover: GSP is sort of like a pre-nyu school. Its expensive and you have to attend NYU for 6 years.

Since you are Chinese.... I think your SAT II test scores are a bit low....
I got four 800 in my SAT II now, and I'm planning to take 3 more in Nov..
BTW...I'm Chinese

Clover dont listen to smalllab...he/she is seriously just trying to fish for compliments.

I dont understand people who go around spamming their "amazingness". Geez, how does it help the person's chance thread? And does being one ethnicity make a person smarter than another? I know hard work/studying can...but ethnicity, that'll be a hard thing to prove concretely.

Small Lab, I just want to personally thank you for sharing your achievements in SAT IIs. We are all very impressed!

Cloverlab, out of curiosity, why is MIT on your list? From my obviously very limited point of view, it seems like you would be better suited at a liberal arts school.

I was orignally shooting for a business school (major in international busines) but I think I'm going to take the international relations route... and end up (hopefully) around the same place I would with international business since I want to work with human resources, etc. more than I would with finance...etc. But I'm not applying to MIT anymore: I think I'm replacing it with Chicago U. and also Tufts

Btw.. I do know that my SATII scores are a bit low...I'm hoping to re-take some in Dec. I guess... I'm taking the SAT I on Nov. for good measure...

Any other schools you guys think I should apply for? I don't want to end up in a situation where I have no school to go to come Fall 2009

bumpaty bump

Hellloooooooooooooooooooo
