I am a international student from China and currently studying in a private high school in California as a junior.

Ethic: Apparently I am a Asian

AP Classes: AP Cal AB(5) AP European History(3) and AP Chem(3)
AP Physics 1(3) AP US History(3) AP Cal BC(5) for this year.

GPA: 4.26(Weighted) 3.97(U) so far

Class Rank:21 of 229, top 10%

SAT: 2010 ( CR 610 MATH 740 WRIT 660 with essay score 9)
I think I reach my goal since English is really hard for me.

Activity: Two year varsity tennis player
founder and vice president of Chinese club
Math team
I am also a math tutor
approximately 120 hours for community service
That is it… I am a lazy guy

You should work on your SAT scores a little more. With your schedule/stats chances should be in your favor, but it’s hard to say because each of the schools you’ve listed have been getting more and more competitive. With early action I’d be surprised if you weren’t accepted.

I am not sure about the other schools but I have several friends who go to NYU so I know a little about it and based off your information I think you have a strong chance of getting in. If you wanted to increase your chances I would say retake the SAT and try to get a higher score!

I would say all but UCSD are low reaches. UCSD is a match

I have heard it is harder to get into EA to BC but I think if you communicate that it is your first choice that should help

@alexj170 Thanks for your commenting. I feel terribly unease. Though I got a SAT score higher than the average, they said it is still a very little chance to get in BC…

If you think your SAT is the issue then I think your GPA will make up for it, a 3.97 UW with some APs is rock-solid

I think you have a pretty solid chance. Just be yourself and let each college know what you’re extremely passionate for.

Hey guys, just a update. I got into UCLA(Bigggg Surprise),NEU,UCSD,UCI,UCD,PSU,OSU…Got waitlisted from Boston college, rejection from Notre Dame
