<p>So the last one kind of failed...I'll try to make things clearer and hope that more people can take a look at it. I greatly appreciate your time!</p>

Intended Major: Biomedical Engineering/Civil Engineering/Material Science</p>

<p>EC: School was small and did not offer anything besides those I participated in and an Ethics Bowl Team.

<p>A few things to note: I'm a Rotary Exchange student right now in Germany. So I speak Chinese, German, and (lol duh) English fluently. I plan to go on another exchange during Undergrad and I plan to stress that on my app.</p>

<p>And my HS offers no AP, it's one of those schools where all the students take classes from a local college for their 11 and 12 so they graduate with a Diploma and an AA.</p>

<p>Schools I wanna go to: COLUMBIA.</p>

<p>Schools I don't want to go to but will apply to anyways so if I get denied there I don't have to kill myself:
UPenn,
Dartmouth,
Brown,
Vanderbilt,
Lehigh,
Northwestern,
NYU,
Indiana University Bloomington,
University of Southern California,
and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.</p>

<p>Aside from Indiana University Bloomington, would any of these schools constitute as my safety with my stats?</p>

<p>A few things to consider:</p>

<ol>
<li><p>Not very decent EC’s. Depth and passion may help.</p></li>
<li><p>Send in your ACT scores. They are heavier on a SAT-ACT conversion scale.</p></li>
<li><p>The ivies on your list are all reaches but don’t get disappointed. You have decent chances at the others provided you show interest through your essays.</p></li>
</ol>

<p>Yeah I realized that but I hope the fact that my school offers practically no ECs would lessen the blow, and that was a big part of why I wanted to do a gap year in Germany, other than wanting a break. I would like to only send the ACTs also, but I think some school require all the scores from SAT to be send in, and obviously by sending my SAT IIs, those will also go in. </p>

<p>Send the ACT and you should be fine. Don’t worry about sending both, they judge you based on the higher one. </p>

<p>Bump, guys can I get some more opinions? Where I REALLY need confirmations on is where my SAFETIES are. </p>

<p>Also if possible, I would like to add Duke to the list. Thanks and will definitely chance back!</p>
