low income can't be a hook for cornell, they are need-blind!
also you put greater than 60,000 so that's not really low income

if you weren't haitian american and first generation i would say your odds are not good all
but those will boost it up to not good

15% maybe?

I was defred Ed with a 33 act/ 2200 sat and several more ap courses than you and very well fittted ec's (300+ hours with the afl-cio). the only thing you really ahve going for you is your oos and your a urm. otherwise gpa and scores are rather low. because of your hooks though i think you have an average shot.

cheers,
mike

^^^^what are oos?

Out of state. But it doesn't matter at Cornell, it's private all around

Nope wrong, ILR, Cals and Human EC are all contract colleges meaning NYS partially funds them meanign NYS students get a tuition break meaning there are differnt admissions standards because of the difference in volume of applicants applying (ie more NY'ers applying for the tuition break makes it harder to get in if your instate)

Oops. Disregard what I said then...
