Please chance for Duke, JHU, and Rice? c:

Duke is my dream school, and I'm also really really interested in JHU and Rice. Please chance me, and I would also really appreciate any suggestions for schools I should reach for or be able to match. Thanks! :D

GPA: 4.44 (weighted) / 3.9 (unweighted)
Race: Asian

SAT: 800 CR, 620 Math, 790 Writing (I'm really weak in math but I'll retake it either in June or October next year)
SAT 2: Haven't taken, but will take Chemistry, Physics, Math 2, and maybe Latin

ECS/Volunteer Experience:
-Latin Club: compete at JCL conventions; 3rd place in Latin Literature State Competition (9th, 10th); Gold & Summa cum Laude in Latin Pentathlon State (9th, 10th); competing in Latin Literature, Latin Pentathlon, and Latin Decathlon again this year
-Gold & Summa cum Laude in National Latin Exam (9th, 10th, probably 11th)

I know my ECs are really, really weak. No leadership, no big awards. :( I tried to get a research internship this summer but did not get in. I'm not really sure what I can do anymore that'll help my stand out. :(

I’ll chance back if you leave a link, btw! :D

Yeah… Your EC’s are weak. But your academics look good. You REALLY need to get that math score up. As it stands now, I think Duke is a reach and JHU and Rice are high matches. If you can get you math score up where the CR and writing are I think your SAT will compensate for your lack of EC’s. Then you’ll be looking at a high match (maybe even match) for Duke and matches for JHU and Rice.

Chance back?
