Please Chance for Georgetown, UVa, Rice, Emory, etc....

Hello,
I tried this before, but my previous thread got only one response and very few page views, so I am trying this again.

I am an incoming senior from MD (in-state in MD and NY).
I want to apply to:
UMD-CP---- Safety
SUNY- Binghamton---- Safety

William and Mary (3rd- tied)
Tufts
U-Mich Ann Arbor

Emory (3rd- tied)

GPA: 3.87 Unweighted; 4.6 Weighted
ACT: 32 (SATs not worth mentioning)
SAT IIs: 760 US History, 730 Biology, Awaiting scores from Math II and Lit.

Classes: By far the most rigorous schedule available to students at my school. Only student in my grade to have taken 6 APs (US History-5; World History-5; Macro Econ-5; Psych; Bio; Calc BC). 2 more (Euro and Lang) next year with 2 classes (Geo 101 and Stat and Prob) at community college. In addition, I have an internship at the NIH in Bethesda (NCI) for 4 credits plus this and next summer.

If anyone has any other suggestions for me, please dont hesitate to add them. I would like to go to school on the eastern seaboard (NE, Mid-Atlantic, South).

Thanks a lot!!!!

any plans on shooting a bit higher?? i think u have awesome stats

i think you have some great stats for the schools you're looking at -- i'm not really sure how the sat will affect you, but i would say you've got a good shot at georgetown, and definitely the others

Thanks-- I never really thought my stats were good enough to aim higher. What colleges should I be looking at then?

I think you have a good chance at the schools you listed. I would probably throw in a Ivy just for the hell of it because with your stats, you could quite possibly get in. But anyway, everything seems good.

how are you instate in 2 states?

I thought only the primary residence counted?

I am instate in NY and MD as my family lives and works in MD but owns a bussiness in NY and pays taxes in both states. My dad is registered to vote in MD, has a MD driver's license, and car registration while my mom is registered to vote in NY, has a NY driver's license, and has her car registered in NY. My older brother goes to SUNY-Binghamton this way, so I know it works.

UMD-CP---- You will make it in
SUNY- Binghamton---- You will make it in
Georgetown (1st Choice) You will probably make it in
UVa (2nd) You will make it in
William and Mary (3rd- tied) You should make it in
Tufts You will make it in
U-Mich Ann Arbor You will make it in
Rice (3rd- tied) You will probably make it in
Emory (3rd- tied) You will probably make it in

I think that you have selected a great list of schools to apply to. Ivies might not take you, but worth a shot if you feel like it (your ACT is decent but perhaps low for the Ivies, and your UW GPA isn't awesome but the weighted GPA is lovely).
Good luck!

ddit47: thanks for clearing that up

Thanks everyone. I never knew that my chances were that good. I am now thinking of not applying to the SUNY or Rice, but applying to Cornell and U Chicago instead (which would be my new number one choice).
