** Prospective major:** Pre-med/biology... I am aware that some of the schools listed do not have a specific pre-med major.

Please chance me for **HYP, U Penn, Columbia, University of Chicago, Duke, Wash U, Johns Hopkins, Brown, Emory, Vandy, U of Virginia, U of Michigan Ann Arbor, College of William and Mary, University of Tennessee-Knoxville/b.
If possible, please indicate high reach, reach, low reach, match, safety, etc.

Also, I will NOT be retaking the SAT, the SAT Subject tests, or any AP exams, but I will be retaking the ACT in hopes of getting a 34+.

THANKS!!!!!

Oh, and PSAT score was 212… NMSF possible but unlikely.

You should have a pretty good shot at all of these schools. If you write a pretty good essay and have solid recommendations, you will most likely get in. Looking at the ivies, you have entered into what I call the “crap shoot” . Unless you have some amazing hook, you have as good a shot as anybody with 2050+ SAT or 30+ ACT scores, solid ECs, good SAT IIs and good essays. If you write a good essay, you will probably get into at least a couple ivies.
Could you please chance me?

HYP- reach
U Penn- low reach
Columbia-reach
University of Chicago- match
Duke-match
Wash U-match
Johns Hopkins-match
Brown-reach
Emory-match
Vandy- low match
U of Virginia-match
U of Michigan Ann Arbor-match
College of William and Mary-safety
University of Tennessee-Knoxville-safety

^^W&M isnt a safety for any OOS female. More of match to low reach. Toughest admit in VA.

Your stats are great and you have solid EC’s. I wouldn’t worry about the 2 AP score by the way, I don’t think it will hurt you.

I’m not so sure why you would want to retake the ACT. 33 is about as good as it gets and I dont think one or two points higher would give you a significantly better chance at any of these schools.

HYP- Reach (it is for just about anybody)
U Penn- mid reach
Columbia- mid reach
University of Chicago- low reach/match
Duke- match
Wash U- match
Johns Hopkins- match/low reach
Brown- mid reach
Emory- match
Vandy- match
U of Virginia- low reach (OOS asian female is rough)
U of Michigan Ann Arbor- match
College of William and Mary- low reach
University of Tennessee-Knoxville- safety

Would you mind chancing me as well?
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/971302-chance-northwestern-rice.html</a></p>

I agree with anonymous 1993 for the most part, but I wouldn’t call William and Mary a safety because you are out of state. With great recs and essays, you have a good chances.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/971007-chances-emory-davidson-others.html</a></p>

Thanks to all who responded so far! I’ll chance you guys back!

The 33 was a statewide mandatory ACT assessment for juniors, and TN only paid for us to take the ACT w/o Writing, so it wouldn’t even count at a lot of the schools I have listed. Besides, even if it was with Writing, a 33 would not be good enough for a merit scholarship at some of the lower ranked schools on my list.
