Thank you for responding!

Any comments are appreciated, thank you!

I think your UC GPA is really low for a major like physics if you’re shooting for UCB and UCLA…?

Your GPA and the 24 score on the ACT Math section are going to hurt your chances at the UC’s listed. UCI/UCD could go either way. The rest I think are a Reach. You need to look at UCSC and UCR if you are interested in the UC’s. If you are a California resident, consider Cal Poly SLO. OOS schools to consider are ASU and U of Az. There is no reason not to apply, just have some good backups.

just noticed… for the ACT the subscores don’t add up to your composite?

@Gumbymom @chubii My bad, my ACT subscore for math is a 35

UCSB- Match (they like people with really high test score)
UCLA- Reach
UCB- Reach
UCD- High Match/Low Reach
UCI- High Match/Low Reach

Revised chancing based on ACT Math of 35:

UCB/UCLA: Low Reach
UCSB/UCI/UCD: High Match
UCSB likes high test scores but GPA is still an issue and their Physics program is highly regarded. UCI likes high GPA’s but can be more forgiving on lower test scores.

You need to add some solid Match and Safety schools to your list. There is always a chance that you may get shutout since UC admissions can be unpredictable.

I still think your UC GPA will hold you back from the top UC’s, but I would love to be proven wrong.

Thank you for your responses @QuiteAverage90 @Gumbymom . UCSB is my first choice so lets hope for the best.
I will be applying to other safeties because I know UC admissions are very difficult.
