Please chance for VA colleges

<p>Hi I just applied to VCU, Tech, & JMU. I am concerned because I'm not sure I will get into any, so just looking for a different opinion. I am a high school senior.
GPA: 3.42 weighted
SAT:1710, Math 650 Reading 550 Writing 510
Ec's:
Crew all four years; various medals, VA state champs back to back for the last two years
National 3rd place sophomore year. (heavily involved)
I have a part time job (20hrs/week senior year)
I have been involved in various clubs throughout high school such as honor societies and honor roll.
Current year courses:
AP environmental, Ap economics, Multivariable Calc, Stem engineering, Ap literature, Ap govt, Ap stat.
I really don't know what else to put for now but please chance! Feel free to ask questions.</p>

<p>My brother goes to Tech, as did my father. He has friends that got denied with a 3.7 and a few extracurricular instances. That said, the same person got into JMU and would easily get into VCU. VCU is on par with Radford and ODU and JMU would be relatively in line with GMU. Hope I helped!</p>

<p>I think you’ll get into VCU but the other 2 might be a reach. Good luck though, I’m sure you’ll enjoy whichever college you choose. VA has many great colleges!</p>

<p>Thanks for responding, I also just finished my GMU application. Also trying to figure out what might be my chances for that as well.</p>

<p>I think you’ll get into JMU because you’re so involved in crew.
VCU is a definite safety
Tech may be a low reach, but you still have a good shot at getting in.</p>

<p>I live in VA also, and no one from my high school got into tech last year with less than a 3.75, so that’s probably a little but of a reach but I think you have a good chance.</p>

<p>GMU might also be a little bit of a reach, but again I think you have a chance at getting in.</p>
