thanks celticsfan… appreciate it! my school is one of the top 15 best high schools on Long Island (one of the most academically successful regions in the country); my graduating class has about 400 students, about 150 of which are eligible for top-tier universities

Edit: thanks for chancing me. I would apply to BC since my dad went there & I got to all the hockey games, but they don’t have engineering =( As for MIT,I doubt i’ll get in & I have enough schools I want to go to anyway. What would you suggest i do to increase my chances for Princeton?

Brandeis - match

Emory - low reach

Goucher - don’t know this school

GW - in

Oberlin - in

William and Mary - match

SUNY Geneseo - in

SUNY Albany Honors - in

SUNY Stony Brook Honors -in

Hamilton - in

Connecticut College - in

Your stats are very solid. I would work in the business/DECA angle somehow to make yourself stand out even more. I think you should also look at some Ivy League schools since you would have a fair shot although your scores are closer to the lower side.

Good test scores, low end for Ivys but average for the schools you listed. Awesome ECs and community service - especially the tutoring. It is also great that you come from a good public school. Your class rank might be a factor also, which I didn’t see posted above.

You have a good shot at all of your schools, especially considering you were already accepted to Tulane with that kind of scholarship. I would say Emory is your only real reach, but you will probably get accepted.

oh, and btw, 1st quarter, Senior Year (w/ those 4 AP’s, College-Level Spanish, and PreCalc), I earned a 99 weighted average and 95.8 UW, probably putting my W average at 96.3 and UW at 94.5.

Your GPA and ECs are stellar, and your test scores will be fine for every school you’re applying to. I would say you’re safe at every school except W&M, Hamilton and Emory, and those would still be only high match/low reach. Oh and btw, I was at nationals in Anaheim this past year, actually an awesome week.

Brandeis

Emory- high match

Goucher- in

GW-low reach

Oberlin- match

William and Mary- low reach, only because youre out of state. I looked there too, and it seems like 2/3 of the kids who apply are out of state, but only 1/3 of the kids they accept are out of state.

SUNY Geneseo- in

SUNY Albany Honors- in

SUNY Stony Brook Honors- in

Hamilton- match

Connecticut College- match

All the SUNYs I think youre in for. Being in-state with scores like yours will be a big advantage. For W&M, I think your only obstacle will be being and out of state student applying to a state school. Otherwise, I think most of them are good bets. Have you looked at any Ivys? Your schools seems like a place that prepares students well.
