bump I’ll chance back!

Being a female interested in mathematics definitely puts you ahead in the game.

HYPS: you should get into at least one
Duke: 50%
Penn: 40%
Cornell: 50%
Northwestern: 50%

Overall, I’d assume you would get into at least 3 colleges on your list.

Chance back please:
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/722673-multiple-passions-bad.html

HYP: your in at least 1
Stanford: in
Duke: in
Penn: out
Cornell: in
Northwestern: in

For Stanford they really look at the Athletics and EC’s, which you seem a bit weak in. Are you really good at swimming? You should get some community service in there. You are looking at getting into a few of the schools on your list, good luck.

well i didnt list the hours on there, but i did write that I am the service leader of a specific project at my school, the executive service leader at my school, and doing a week of community service this summer. i dont think service will be a problem–it should be around 200 hours.

You’re good for Northwestern, Cornell & Duke. Stanford is a little bit tougher and you have a pretty slim chance at HYP but your ACT score is great so you should still try.
I think you’d be good for Stanford if you do well on the SATIIs and possibly consider taking the SATs.

What’s your class rank? that plays a pretty big part in addmissions

Should I really take the sat after a 35 on the act? My school doesn’t submit rankings, but I’m top 5-10 without fresh year, which Stanford doesn’t look at

Your ACT test scores are great. It would still probably be a good idea to at least try taking the SAT, since some schools prefere to look at the SAT, even if they will still look at the ACT they may prefer one over another. Your EC’s aren’t super outstanding, but you still appear to be pretty well rounded. I think that you have a shot, but your chances could be better. Good luck with figuring out what school you will go to!

Stanford: reach (but so is everybody)
Duke: low reach
Penn: low reach
Cornell: in
Northwestern: in

so im guessing HYP is a reach too? but i guess it is for everyone

bump bump bump ill chance back!

are you good enough to be recruited?
a girl from my school got recruited to stanford only based on swimming + average grades (3.5)

no… do i still have a chance?

No just wondering…yea you have a chance.

2 girls got in from my school to Stanford. The other one had something like 3.7 UW GPA/2200 SAT/School Senate/Some community service/No awards/but she was half URM…I guess that helped but I dont know how much she stressed it.

Stanford, HYP, Duke, Penn, Cornell, Northwestern

You’ve done very well but I don’t see a “core” to your ECs.

HYPS- Its hard to see you not at least waitlisted/accepted to one of these.
Cornell/Penn/Duke- you have a good shot at these.
Northwestern- In.

If you apply to M&T at Penn, I would say fairly low chances. Yes, your scores are excellent and you are doing the summer program, but the people who are admitted have EVERYTHING.
