<p>Essay, I am pretty confident about. I wrote about my experiences in the Talent Show for my school and I wrote another one about the book Black Boy and how the setting and main character have empowered my way of thinking.
Recommendations are awesome, I hope.</p>
<p>It looks like you have a good chance according to our school’s naviance charts. Although these tend to vary from school to school. GPA and SAT might be a little low, but I think your rank will counterbalance that.</p>

<p>SATs are a tad low. Since they only really look at the CR + M your score is a 1080 which is at the bottom 25 percentile of accepted applicants. GPA is more than adequate since I got in with a far less and managed to get a $5000 scholarship, though that might have just been my test scores.</p>

<p>What major did you apply for? I was accepted as a philosophy major with Critical Reading - 510, Writing - 410 and Math - 540. SAT is a joke. I got a 3.9 GPA and had a very good essay. Perhaps your chances of getting in is higher if you’re applying for a arts/humanities major. Best of luck!</p>

but i think it is ok since it is stony brook. ur GPA is good enough.
i wonder what school do you go to? with that SAT score, u can still rank #1. very surprised.</p>
<p>GPA is at median and SAT scores are below average. There is certainly still a chance, but it depends highly upon the rest of your application.</p>
