Please chance me at these schools by either saying "in" or "rejected" ILL CHANCE BACK

OK, you know Rhodes and Sewanee get a lot of kids from Arkansas...so with the F that's tough situation...are you hoping to play baseball at college? If so reach out to those coaches.

Your scores are fine - how much is financial aid going to matter? Were you rejected ED to lafayette?

I put "plan to participate in college" on the commonapp for baseball. I'm not a recruited athlete or anything though.

Financial aid will matter...quite a bit.

...And the ED deadline for Lafayette is 2/15, so I won't find out for a month or two.

bumppppppppp

University of the South will more than likely reject you. And if you do get in, the tuition is very expensive and to my knowledge, they are not to good on financial aid. I know this for I live very very close and have several family members who work there.

If that's the case about UotS, I'll probably just go to Hendrix (if I don't get in anywhere better/financial isn't good enough elsewhere).

bump??????

Case seems a little off target compared to the other schools on your list, so it might be wise to forget about it all together (not the greatest student population, looks like Revenge of the Nerds- college edition, not a hot girl in sight) Anyways, good enough shot at the others, especially if your essays were great, although you definitely shouldn't count on Wake Forest, Sewanee, or St. Olaf (at least I think Olaf and Sewanee are pretty selective, I'll have to check my stat books) so, good luck!

Also, come chance me at http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/635063-small-town-junior-looking-advice-chances-big-name-schools.html thanks!

I'm applying to Case as a safety...I realize all of its negative aspects (at least, in my opinion), but I thought it'd be worth it to apply just in case I get rejected by my top choices and am faced between Case and lesser LAC's.

Case has an 'open-door' admissions policy, which means you switch your school and intended major once you get there. I 'gamed' the system, because I'm unethical, and applied to the school of liberal arts and selected philosophy and social sciences as my interests. Since Case has incredibly weak kids in those areas (we're talking 1000's on the SAT here), I thought I'd get in for sure since I'd be one of their better out-of-state applicants.

(I plan to become an engineer, so if I go to Case I would switch my school to the engineering school -- Case has very good engineering, which is why I applied.)

Anyways, yeah...I think I'll get accepted to Hendrix for sure...and I'm 90% confident I'd choose Hendrix over Case if I was faced between the two...so I guess I agree it really didn't make much sense to apply, lol.

"Wake Forest, Sewanee, or St. Olaf"

Do you mention only those three because you think those three will be my toughest, or are you unfamiliar with most of the schools on my list?

bump

theres questions still unasnwered!

bump?????

....please?
