SAT is too low. Retake?
what is your intended school/major?

O wow I totally forgot to mention the retake but yea I am retaking it in october and I will apply to the school of arts and science.

Everything else is fine; your GPA isn’t the highest though, and your SAT scores leave much to be desired.

Thanks Paramour. I was in mostly all honors and took aps so I guess that plays a role to some extent. But it should be higher weighted. Say I get my sat up you guys think i’d get in?

This is from collegeboard:

* 34% had h.s. GPA of 3.75 and higher

 • 36% had h.s. GPA between 3.5 and 3.74
 • 17% had h.s. GPA between 3.25 and 3.49
 • 11% had h.s. GPA between 3.0 and 3.24
 • 2% had h.s. GPA between 2.5 and 2.99

With your volunteering you have a better chance at Yale.

anyone bump please

sats are too low, i think a total of at least 650 in each section would get u in. your extra curriculars are fantastic though, and u still have a chance.

Thank you to hsseniorlooking and anisha.
I guess that’s the only thing that makes me stand out from other applicants. Any idea if any other schools would put more emphasis on that?

yeah i agree, your SATs are a little low but maybe with your extracurrics you’ll get GSPed at least or even make it in (just write really good essays and get recs from teachers that know your character and can testify to your academic achievement better than that SAT score can…add in a rec from an EC supervisor too if you want to just have another testimony to your achievements)

Is the general studies program a bad thing?
