GPA: 3.71 Unweighted, 4.61 Weighted
Rigor of Secondary Education (through senior year): 10 APs, 11 Honors

Recommendations: AMAZING! (This includes guidance and teacher recommendations.)
Essays: I thought my essays came out very well, as did my guidance counselor, but I'm sure some applicants have better. In any event, very strong essays.

I really appreciate the chances, (please be honest) and don't hesitate to ask me to chance back!

What is your intended major? If it is a mathy discipline, I’d say you’re doing a bit better.

Your CR, W, and Physics (yes) are a bit of a problem I would say …
However, since you are a double legacy and are applying ED to the college (and not other schools) I say you have a fair chance.

Realistically, with such a relatively few spots open for Penn freshman, you won’t get in. I’m sure it’s not what you wanna hear but that’s life…

^ I disagree with the poster above. I think your SAT scores are good enough to get you at least considered (though your CR and Physics SAT II might be lower than the average). Taking 10 AP’s shows academic rigor… How were your scores? A few 4’s & mostly 5’s should be OK.

If you have great extracurriculars, passionate essays, and “amazing” recommendations, you will probably have a fair chance. Plus, you have x2 legacy (which is supposed to be an extra bonus for ED round!!).

I can’t really chance you, but I wanted to commend you on your politeness and wish you good luck.

Yours is one of the very few “chance me” threads that actually included the word “please.” If you are as polite in person, you will do well and get far - adults appreciate courteousness in young people.

If you expect courtesy over the Internet, you’re the only one at fault.

Anyways, before I give any opinions on your chances, I have a question about your GPA. Has it been a stagnant ~3.7 throughout your high school or has it improved over time? This matters greatly…
