bumpppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppp

Hmm good EC, gpa unweighted is kinda low but the weighted is much higher which is weird. not sure which one NYU looks at. SAT are in the range.

I would say that anything is possible and go for it =]. You def. have a chance but i can't really tell you how great of a chance.

yeah i know its hard to chance me, thanks though!

I spoke to a counsellor in NYU and she said only unweighted GPA is considered.

I would chance you if I knew exactly what they look for. Good luck though :)

hmmmm i see, thanks though.

Well, I mean going by what you've given us, you're pretty much on the CAS border. I don't know your schedule or the courses you've taken, but that could make a big difference here---if you got a 3.3 with a couple of honors and regular classes, I'd lean towards no rather than yes (barring an extremely impressive essay), but if you got a 3.3 with 4 or more AP's until Junior year (and more this year), I'd say you'd have a respectable shot.

Also, this would depend on what type of highschool you're coming from. If you're from say somewhere like Iowa or Montana, where the majority of schools don't send grads to top colleges, I'd lean more towards no than yes. But if you came from a school with a good track record with NYU, that could tip the balance in your favor

im taking this year

AP Biology
AP Statistics
AP Literature
AP Calculus
Honors physics

and my school sends about 25 kids to ivys and has a top 10% weighted of about a 5.12 gpa.
my school is in new jersey and is a very respectable school.

bumppppppppppppppppppp

its actually a 2140* not a 2040
