Where I'm applying (I'm from Florida):
Cornell (my dream), Northwestern, UNC, UConn, Johns Hopkins, UPitt (mom is alumni), Carnegie Mellon, & FSU (safety)
Intended major: Neuroscience, minor in psych (striving to be a neurosurgeon)

GPA (UW/W): 3.8367, 6.0367
Rank: top 2% (188/11,214)
SAT: 2230 (CR 750, M 730, W 750)
PSAT: 223
Classes: I'm in IB & have taken 4 AP's and 7 IB classes (which are two years long) so my courses are very rigorous. All my other classes are honors. My AP scores aren't the best, but are:
AP Stats - 3
APEuro - 4
APUSH - 5
APLang - 5
(I'll also be taking the AP French, Lit, Chem, and Psych exams this year alongside my IB exams.)

Leadership
- Band captain senior year, section leader junior year
- Co-founder/president of book club
- President of chem club senior year, junior officer junior year
- Historian for psych club jr/sr year
- Relay for Life captain jr/sr year

EC's
- Marching band all years, straight superior rankings
- Wind ensemble soph/jr/likely sr year, superior rankings, 1st chair flute jr year
- Chem club, psych club, book club, Asian club
- NHS, French Honor Society, Math Honor Society, Science Honor Society

Volunteering (this is where I lack the most, all my time is spent in band...)
- Captain of Relay for Life team jr/sr year, involved all 4 years (about 75 hours)
- Some volunteer work in Mongolian hospitals for 2 weeks
- About 75 hours from my local library

I'll probably write essays about either band (it's my #1 passion and consumes alllll my time), my trip to Mongolia, or some personal issues (haven't decided if they're just too personal).

If anyone could chance me, I'd really appreciate it! Cornell, Northwestern, & UConn are the ones I'm most interested in (:
(And yes, I'm aware that Cornell is a bit of a reach considering my volunteer work, but any opinions about anything are welcome!)
