<p>I'm a "rising junior" from a small town in Iowa.
I would like to attend: Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Swarthmore, UC Berkeley, UChicago, Macalaster, Amherst, Brown, Northwestern, or Columbia. </p>

<p>Here are my stats:
*4.0
*5 on AP US Gov in 9th grade; waiting for APUSH score
*790 on SAT History Test (as sophomore)
*200 on PSAT as a sophomore
*President of volunteer group at school
*On a governor appointed board, working on getting on another.
*Founder of a global awareness group
*Secretary of a civic group's board that promotes the downtown district in my city
*Intern for UN Association
*Starting UN Student Association group at my school
*Working to start a political organization for youth in my state; we will advocate on behalf of youth through lobbying, taking positions on legislation and policy, fundraising for youth-supportive candidates, etc.
*Speech - "All State" sophomore year for a speech.
*Spanish Club
*Math Club, first at a competition
*Student member of school board
*Will begin historic research for bicentennial celebration of the dam by our town.
*I started taking college classes as a freshman, and will have a lot of credits when I graduate</p>

<p>Academically, you’re doing well. A proper chance cannot be given until SATs and SAT II scores are in. Don’t assume anything. Your ECs are fine but not spectacular.
HYP, Columbia, Brown, UChicago, Amherst, Swarthmore will be far/reaches unless your test scores are phenomenal and your ECs turn up outstanding. The said schools reject even the most spectacular applicants. Try looking at more 50-50 and safety schools.</p>
