Soon enough, need of help arose and I've been working whole Saturday during weekends (about 13-15 hours) and received about $20 a day. I’ve been a waiter, cook, host, cashier, dish washer, cleaner, etc. everyday = pretty much anything you do working at restaurant.)

BITS AND PIECES
I came to US around 5 years ago and moved one or two schools.
First Generation College
First Generation American
First Generation Immigrant
Tri-lingual = English, Korean, Japanese

Thank you so much for any advices and comments.

If you get rejected by any of these colleges its probably a mistake

Johns Hopkins is a reach school unless you choose to apply with early-decision and choose an unpopular major… That might be slightly helpful. But Hopkins is extremely selective. Your statistics are not bad, but they aren’t jaw-dropping. Try to raise your rank and GPA this year. You have a good list of schools.

thanks for feedback i appreciate it. so by choosing unpopular major, the chance of getting in increases on most colleges? also, i’m a child of parent with E2 Visa. Therefore, I will be counted as international to private schools and out of state schools (from Texas). Only ones I will be counted as permanent resident will be public schools in Texas.

In at Michigan State and probably most of the schools in Texas. JHU is a reach.

bumpppppppppppppp…!

bumpity bump

If you play up the first generation immigrant card, you’re probably in pretty good shape. Colleges LOVE first generation students. Your overall stats are pretty good too, so I’d say that you have a decent shot at all the schools, even Johns Hopkins and Emory.
As to your financial situation, I’m sure that you would receive very generous aid packages from most of these schools. However, Hopkins IS NOT need blind, so they could possibly slight you in the process of giving out aid.
If money is an issue, than UT-Austin would be a fantastic choice. I know it’s a huge state school, but it really does have an awesome (and growing) rep. I know a kid who could barely decide between a full ride to UT-Austin or MIT.
