***I've taken the SAT 5 times now (omg...)! I took the SAT twice Sophomore year and three times Junior year because my parents thought it would be good practice (sigh). Not knowing the benefits of score choice, my parents took advantage of the free score summaries and had all five scores automatically sent to my top colleges. Although each of the tests shows a upward trend, I'm awfully worried about how the schools I'm applying to will view this. So my big question to you is: are scores automatically superscored at the schools i am applying to?

(note: I also plan on taking the October test to hopefully get my CR up a bit)

As of now I plan on applying to...:
1) Emory (ED)
2) Georgia Institute of Technology (EA)
3) University of Georgia (EA)
4) Clemson University

Please chance me honestly,

Thank you

Bump~
Please chance me

BUMP!!! I’m mostly concerned about this:

Anyone know if Emory automatically superscores?

Quite honestly, your CR score is just about the only thing going against you in admissions. I would classify Emory as a reach and Georgia Tech as a high match/low reach as a result.

Okay, I’m taking the test tomorrow; hopefully I’ll raise my Critical Reading to low/mid 600’s.

So is it going to be a problem that i’ve taken the test so many times? =/

And if Emory is my top choice should i do ED? Are my chances higher that way?

Thanks!!

Your chances are not higher ED at Emory. There is only a higher acceptance rate because the most qualified applicants apply early. That CR score is going to kill you. It’s a high high reach in my opinion. You look solid for your other schools, though. I’d use the ED on a school you are more fit for/would like to go to. I suggest RD Emory, if at all.

Good luck.

oh shoot; well i took the test today and the passages seemed pretty easy, but the vocab seemed really tough in comparison to past tests.

Ok…just an update on my superscore:

M: 780 CR: 620 W: 650

Please chance me for these schools:
EA: University of Georgia, Georgia Institute of Technology, Clemson
RD: Emory, Vanderbilt

Thank you very much…

I think you have a good shot at Clemson.

Could I classify it as a safety for me?

Bump; please chance me with current stats.

Thank you.
