Hey guy, currently a senior in CT and I was wondering what do you think my chances are of getting into Boston College MCAS (regular decision), male, Asian (Indian), First Generation College Student

99.4889 Weighted Average
5 ECE UConn Classes (Early College Experience Classes, college credit classes) All got As with one B
1 AP English Class: A
Rest of my classes are mainly Honors classes with a few standard classes like art/photography
Rank: Top 10%
1360 SAT Score
Solid essay (personal and unique)
Lots of ECs:
Varsity Football (Captain)
Indoor Track and Field (Captain)
Outdoor Track and Field
National Honor Society
Model United Nations
Allied Health Club
Link Crew (freshmen orientation guide)
Some other small things…
I’ve done a lot of community service: Coaching, soup kitchens, etc.
Handful of leadership positions
Solid number of awards: SWE Award, Allied Health Award, Foreign Language Award, (4-5 more)
Have a little bit of work experience, mostly helping out at family restaurant

jackoneill, I don’t know where you got that “low match” impression from, but BC is clearly a reach for him especially with his low SAT and GPA.

I think you have a decent chance but don’t get too hopeful. Your SAT score is below average (1430). Also @HardOREasy he didn’t list his unweighted GPA. That is the weighted GPA.
If your GPA is at least a 3.7 you have a good chance. Make sure you write amazing essays.

Thanks for the help @penngirlpending I appreciate it. I think my essays really strong it’s about coming from a family of immigrants and how I want to work hard to make a better life in the American Dream.

It’ll come down to your essay. If you emphasized the Jesuit Ideals of helping others and trying to make a positive impact on the world, I’m sure you’ll have a good shot.
