please chance me, being a first generation college applicant i have no idea whether or not i have a chance in my dream school.

Yep, looks good to me too. You have some really interesting ECs (I can't believe your club has 150 members...that's amazing!). Maybe you could write about interning for that soap opera, that sounds like a really unique experience. :)

thanks for your comments, its really boosted my low self esteem regarding college admittance.
yeah junior and senior members combined in our spanish honor society make up 150. it gets pretty hectic. but what can i say, my high school consists of mainly die hard over achievers. lol

haha tsh1226 i swear that is my weighted gpa i checked and i have a copy of my official transcript.

the reason why my unweighted is extremely low despite the fact that i have been taking all possible honors classes [5 per year]
is because algebra 2 sophomore year killed me. my ave was a C-

Boston College admissions is tougher than most folks think. The acceptance rate is only about 25%. My first impression is that you will be denied despite your strong SAT scores & admirable ECs. My second impression is that you do not present yourself as well as you could. Being from New Jersey will not help either. Missing are two types of passion: a demonstrated passion of yours and a passion or compelling reason why you want to attend Boston College.

coldwind, i did not mean that as offensive. im honestly curious and want to know. im new at this whole applying thing so you will have to explain how im not presenting myself as well as i should.

Umm i'd say you stand a good chance to get in and its definately worth applying, but really Boston college is a very good school. Since its too late to do anything about your actual statistics now, focus on your essay! I'm sure you could write a great one about citezenship or anything like that.

is that low reach considering the huge selectivity of BC. It is infamous for being as selective as the IV's but not delivering the same quality education. It ranks among the top tier schools for admission percentage but then it ranks 35 for education.
