<p>Hello Everybody,</p>
<p>I'm an international student (Singapore Citizen, Indian ethnicity) who is interested in attending university in the States. I'm currently in my final year at a boarding school that follows the American system of education. I studied at a Singaporean school until 10th grade, then switched over to the American system. Here is my information:</p>
<p>Gap Year: I will be taking a gap year and volunteering with an NGO in India, teaching street children. I intend to apply to Universities whilst on my gap year.</p>
<p>Advanced Placement Subjects 11th Grade (Score received): Biology (5), Chinese (5), World History (5)</p>
<p>Note: Chinese is not my first language or my native language. </p>
<p>Advanced Placement Subjects 12th Grade: English Literature, Macroeconomics, Microeconomics</p>
<p>IB Higher Level Subject: Philosophy, Anthropology</p>
<p>GPA: 3.8</p>
<p>SAT 1: 2343</p>
<p>SAT Subject Tests: World History (750), Literature (720)</p>
<p>HS Extra-Curricular Activity:</p>
<p>Participated as a delegate in 5 Model United Nations Conferences (MUN)- won 2 Best Delegate Awards</p>
<p>Student advisor, helping students find volunteering work that suited their passions and talents. As part of my job, I created a website with a database of local weekend volunteering opportunities, summer volunteering jobs and gap year volunteering programs, and a blog where students who had previously volunteered could describe their experiences. </p>
<p>Organized an exhibition and auction of photographs taken by students at my highschool to fund-raise for an NGO that works with abused women and children. Contributed photos of my own as well. </p>
<p>Summer Volunteering:
Spent 2 months volunteering with an NGO that trains uneducated farms in sustainable farming practises in rural Indonesia</p>
<p>Spent 2 months volunteering with an NGO that rescues minor girls who have been sold into the sex trade in Phnom Penh, Cambodia</p>

<p>If you think that I have too many 'reach' choices on this list, could you please reccomend some liberal arts colleges that would be a 'match' or a 'safe' for me? I do not want to study at a single-sex instituion and I do not want to be anywhere where it gets too cold, but I am open to anything else.</p>
